The Public Lands Seizure Movement
Special interest groups have been pushing legislation across the west and in Congress to require that federally protected lands be handed over to the states, with no provisions for public access, no public input on management and no safeguards against selling or leasing those lands to private interests in the future.
Wyoming’s budget is in tatters; it could hardly afford to manage these lands let alone fight the wildfires on them.
“This will lead to more gates, more industrial disturbance, and less wildlife. Pardon the frankness, but this is a downright stupid idea.”Steve Rinella, Sportsman, Author and TV Host of Meateater
